Scott Erlinder has been freelance director of photography for 15 years. He has shot feature films, shorts, commercials and has worked extensively in television.
His latest project “Storm Warriors,” which he wrote, shot, directed and edited, is airing on PBS stations across the country.
Other credits include projects for A&E, Discovery and The History Channel. Scott won a Silver Medal in Cinematography from the Chicago Film Festival for “Maggie’s Attic”, a Cleo Award for his work with Evergreen Broadcasting, top honors from the American Association for State and Local History and a Superior Achievement award from the Illinois Association of Museums for “The Grosse Point Light”
Scott has been an Assistant Professor at DePaul University since 2003 and taught for 8 years in the School of Communication at Northwestern University. He was an instructor for the Santa Fe high-definition workshops, and Instructor in lighting and high-definition video at the International Film and Television Workshops. Scott graduated from Shimer College with a degree in Fine Arts in 1978 and attended Columbia College, where he received his MFA in 1996.
