Courses Taught

Gary Novak, one of the founders of the Digital Cinema Program, graduated from the American Film Institute with an M.F.A. in Screenwriting. His undergraduate degree is from Northwestern University where he was a Radio/Television/Film major.
For the last twenty years, he has worked extensively as a producer and writer in both movies and television. His work has been seen on NBC and HBO. He is the author of numerous screenplays including ”Coal Run,” “Partners”, ”The Fish Peddler and the Shoemaker”, ”The Ninth Circle,” and ”Dancing Barefoot”.
Gary is a co-author with Matt Irvine on ”Last Call,” currently in post-production and schedule for release next spring, and ”Scott’s Dead” an adaptation of Matt Irvine’s stage play of the same name. Gary is currently writing”Creek County”, a crime drama set in 1960’s Oklahoma.
