Policies for Auditioning and Hiring Actors Not Enrolled at DePaul University

The following policies are to be adhered to when hiring actors for student film projects. These policies apply ONLY to actors not enrolled at DePaul University.

Auditions:

If you hold an audition or callback for actors not enrolled at DePaul the audition must be held on DePaul public property.

General Release Form of Assumption and Risk Waiver:

Any actor not enrolled at DePaul is required to sign a release form. The Producer and/or Director of the film are responsible for obtaining the form and signature of the actor. The form must be retained by the Producer and/or Director for one year after the completion of the project.

Hiring Members of the Screen Actors Guild:

If you hire an actor that is a member of the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) you must complete a SAG "Student Film Letter of Agreement" form. Follow the directions outlined in the "SAG Procedures for Student Filmmakers" document and the SAG "Explanation of Procedures" document.
